Backer Rods are manufactured from closed cell, cross-linked, non-absorbent polyethylene, and have excellent weatherability properties. Backer Rods are predominantly used as a bond-breaker, a joint sealant support and also a system to provide correct joint sealant geometry for the joint sealant application and are for use in expansion or construction joints in concrete.
